Melbcon prides itself on quality assurance, starting with our Site Foreman through to our administration and project teams. Whilst our Site Foreman has effective control over the quality on site and the trades working on site it is a team effort by all involved, however starts with our relationships with key stakeholders.
Melbcon continues to maintain an accredited Quality Management System aligned to ISO 9001:2015, which is audited annually by an external provider. Further to this with the recent additions of some key management staff and change in structures at Melbcon we strive to continue providing our clients with a high standard of workmanship and achieving great end results on all projects.
Management is committed to achieving the goals and objectives set out in the Quality Management System with the highest importance given to protecting the health and safety of our employees and others who may be affected by our activities, while endeavouring to limit the adverse effects on the physical environment.
We place great emphasis on developing a bond with our staff both in the office and on site and maintain strong working relationships. As a result most of our current staff have worked for Melbcon for over a decade. Each year we endeavour to employ an apprentice, with two of our current Site Foreman working through from apprentice status.
Each staff member is paid well over the award and is covered by the relevant industry EBA (Enterprise Bargaining Agreement) sanctioned by the industrial court. All core subcontractors are managed in line with our staff and are required to perform in accordance with the program designed by Melbcon Pty Ltd for each specific project.
Melbcon Pty Ltd. achieved ‘Code of Compliance’ for federally funded capital works late in 2007. This enables Melbcon to tender on federally funded projects Australia wide. The federal government issues a large amount of funding to the state of Victoria each year that in turn allows Melbcon to continue to grow and diversify our range of skills with new and exciting projects across a variety of industries.
