Melbcon has been recently awarded the project constructing the new City Vista Pavilion and Sports Field, in Fraser Rise, formally known as Taylors Hill West Sports Pavilion and Fields. The new facilities will house two grass soccer pitches and two synthetic soccer pitches, all with spectator fencing, and sports field lighting. The main grass soccer pitch at the new grounds will be built to national competition (NPL) standard in terms of area, surface and sports lighting, which will attract high-level competition and athletes to the City.As part of the pavilion, there will be a bistro, commercial kitchen, canteen space, umpires rooms, first aid rooms, eight change rooms, and storage, among other features. The project is a joint venture with Melton City Council and the George Cross Soccer Club who will contribute $1 million to the cost of the development, and will then operate and maintain the pavilion and sports fields for the next 20 years.
